Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services (BLESS) was established in 1962 by His Grace Bishop Samuel. Within the Coptic Orthodox Church, BLESS is viewed as a major social and developmental arm that provides its services to all the dioceses in Egypt. BLESS helps everyone regardless of religion, sex, age or race.
Over time, BLESS has been led by eminent church fathers, from His Grace Bishop Samuel in 1962 to Bishop Youannes in 1996. Since 2015, Bishop Yolios has been leading BLESS.
