The Bishopric of Public Ecumenical and Social Services (BLESS) raises funds to support several programmes that aim to help poor and marginalised communities in Egypt. Such programmes include: Family Assistance, Medical Assistance, and Assistance for People with Disabilities, Education, Housing, Roofing, Outreach, Marriage Expenses Assistance, and Emergency Relief.
BLESS operates with a pioneer concept; shifting from acting as a charity to following a wider, developmental approach. Moreover, BLESS plans for comprehensive integrated development at the community level. It also helps poor people discover and develop their potentials, and improve the conditions of their communities: socially, culturally and economically for a better life for all.
Here at BLESS UK, we are devoted entirely to humanitarian activities. BLESS UK does not fund programmes of church infrastructure, mission, reconstruction, or seminary support.
BLESS UK is a registered charity (No. 1005852) under the HMRC Code. It is led and managed by volunteers. The only expenses paid by BLESS UK are bank charges and paying the accountants that are responsible for preparing and submitting end-of-year reports to the authorities. Therefore, we save every penny for the needy in Egypt.
